Muzak

For those of you daring souls brave enough to hover over pictures and then click them when that little hand pointy thing comes up here's a "bonus."  We calls it some media.  Have a little taste of music for you.

This is the first song I ever wrote

Once I learned me some minor chords (most notably "E") I figgered why not try writing some music myself.  This was my first attempt at it.  Despite being one of the earliest things I tinkered with it's the most finished thanks to a lot of advice/criticism from Nate and a LOT of effort.

Typically considered my best work

This song is my attempt at some nice classical style guitar.  A lot of people like this one the best. Me? It's one of my favorites but not the very top.  Easy but fun to play and hopefully you agree it's a little melodic.

MY favorite

This one is my favorite for a few reasons.  It's one of the few songs I can consider "finished."  On top of that I managed to work in a classically played intro leading into a nice body of harmonic intervals (two notes played at the same time, technically not a chord).  Mainly though, I just like how it sounds and playing it is a nice challenge for me.  Recording devices are not forgiving when it comes to mistakes and this song's harmonic intervals often became muddy and lost the melody.  In the end I had to figure out a rythm of alternating notes and harmonic intervals so you could hear what I wanted it to sound like.  I still mess up a few times on this recording so bear with it if you can, the end result is close to what I intended.

The Evil Song

Only song with lyrics so here they are:
"Kill some puppies,
kill some kittens.
Rip their skin off,
make some mittens"

There ya go.  Just do one syllable per note and now you've got a sing along.  Careful though cause this version of the song keeps getting faster.

I actually forgot how to play this

This is one of many pieces that never developed into a full song.  However it is one of my favorite song fragments.  The only thing I remember about it was it was a bitch for me to figure out how I wanted the chord progression to go.  I knew in my head what sound I wanted but try telling that to my not-so-talented hands.  If I ever remember how to play it or find the tab I wrote I may finish this.

Mexican Prostitute song

So named because of it's VERY vague resemblance to traditional Mexican guitar and the fact that songs about prostitutes are pretty cool.  No lyrics though, just a name.  Feel free to make your own to sing along just make sure they're about a prostitute (preferably in Mexico too).  All in all this song really needs some other instruments to back it up.

Kenshin song

I should track this song down and find it's name.  It is originally from the anime series Kenshin.  I was monkeying on the guitar and somehow played the first three notes.  From then on it was hit or miss until I had it.

COMING EVENTUALLY!

PAC MAN ASSAULT (actually got Pac Man to do some vocals on a metal riff....yeah right)

SOME UNNAMED METAL RIFF

Now this is normally where I should have some sort of copyright garbage or warning to not steal hardworking artist's intellectual property.  But since this is my music (except for one song that's from a cartoon) and I am NOT hardworking and certainly no artist feel free to steal the music.  I would actually be flattered.  With your help and theft perhaps one day I'll walk in somewhere and be like "Hey! I know this song.  Wait.....actually I WROTE this song....holy shit."  Not likely I know, but what a day for my ego that would be.
